EcoTrack is a web-based platform designed to modernize waste collection systems. It integrates GPS tracking, real-time data visualization, and reporting features to help city officials monitor bin levels, route efficiency, and collection schedules. The system provides actionable insights to reduce fuel costs and improve environmental impact.
The biggest challenge was integrating real-time GPS data from various IoT devices while ensuring data accuracy and minimal latency. We also needed to develop a user-friendly interface that city workers with limited technical knowledge could operate easily.
